Microsoft will release its Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (SP2) update tomorrow (4th December). The update mainly focuses on bug fixes and does also include some new features. But there is one thing to consider: Only customers who take part in Microsoft’s Customer Preview Program will be able to download Windows Vista SP2 tomorrow. All others need to wait until April 2009.
Windows Vista SP2 is a massive 300MB update including a bunch of bug fixes and performance tweaks. The more interesting features include support for new types of hardware and improvements in how Vista can handle Wi-Fi. Windows Connect Now is now able to do this a lot easier as Microsoft promises. Also, SP2 allows to record data on Blue-ray media.
